A 7-night Seychelles yacht route: Mahé, Praslin, La Digue
A week on a yacht through the inner Seychelles is built around three islands: Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. Below are the distances between them, a timing guide from the ferry timetables, the entry fees ashore and what the weekly price covers. The order of the islands and the anchorages are set by the captain according to the weather.

Three islands and three crossings
The route is built around three inner islands of the Seychelles: Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. Figures as published: the Baie Sainte Anne–Eden Island leg 26.3 nautical miles (Baie Sainte Anne on Praslin, Eden Island on Mahé; a leg of a charter company route, not a general distance between the islands); Praslin–La Digue 4 nautical miles, about 7 km; Mahé–La Digue 27 nautical miles, about 50 km. A loop Mahé–Praslin–La Digue–Mahé adds up to 57.3 miles: that is our arithmetic, summing the three figures, not a published package.
For a timing guide there is the Cat Cocos ferry timetable: Mahé–Praslin 1 hour 15 minutes, Praslin–La Digue 15 minutes, Mahé–La Digue direct 1 hour 10 minutes (1 hour 45 minutes via Praslin). That is the ferry time, not the yacht’s: a yacht moves as wind and sea allow, and we do not promise a passage time.
What there is ashore and what entry costs
Mahé. Sainte Anne Marine Park: day ticket SCR 200 per person, for adult non-residents. The ticket is issued per person and for one specific park, not per vessel or group.
Praslin and nearby islands. Vallée de Mai (not a marine park, paid separately): SCR 450, 8:30 to 16:30, last entry 15:30, closed 25 December and 1 January. Curieuse (marine park): day ticket SCR 300. Cousin (a private reserve, not a marine park, paid separately): SCR 600 for non-residents, children under 12 free, open Monday to Friday, approximately 9:45 to 12:30.
La Digue. Veuve Reserve (not a marine park, paid separately): SCR 150. L’Union Estate: we confirm the island rate in the quote. Aride: we confirm the island rate in the quote.
A night on a mooring buoy in a marine park: SCR 250 per vessel per night, 17:00 to 8:00. The fee applies if the vessel is inside the park at any point in that window.
What the weekly price covers
A turnkey format: a private yacht with crew for your group alone. The planning guidance for seven nights on a crewed catamaran is EUR 17,500–20,500 for a group of up to six guests, depending on the vessel and dates. It is a working guide, not a public offer: the price is final after the yacht is named and its licence and insurance are checked.
Included: the yacht and crew; full board; fuel; marine park, marina and mooring fees; port and local charges; drinks with meals; airport transfers; inter-island flights on your route; the Seychelles environmental levy of SCR 100 per person per night (the yacht rate in the source; children under 12 are exempt). The levy was introduced by the Ministry of Finance, National Planning and Trade; information from the Tourism Department page, published 20 July 2023; for 7 October 2026 we confirm the current rate in the quote.
Separate: entry tickets ashore (Vallée de Mai, Veuve, Cousin; Aride and L’Union Estate we confirm in the quote) appear as a separate line in the proposal; international tickets and visas; tips for the crew are at your discretion and are not included in the price. Diving at 7 nights is an option; at 14 nights one dive day is included in the price.
The crew, and what we do not promise
The yacht sails with a captain, so you do not need a skipper’s certificate. For a charter without crew, according to koek.sc, operators accept at least RYA Day Skipper (practical) or ASA 104. The same page says the reef systems around the inner islands are not always well marked, and the current in the channel between Praslin and La Digue can run at 2–3 knots.
That is why we do not promise the order of the islands, the anchorages or the passage time: the route follows the weather and the captain’s decision. Everything above is a planning frame, not a day-by-day timetable.
The island rate for Aride and L’Union Estate and the final yacht price we confirm in the quote.
